The sub-miniature tub chassis is made out of fiberglass reinforced plastic and forms the basis of the absolute torsion Dslot43 racers. The rear axle is designed as a spring-loaded Power-pod and has a bevel gear. The motor is positioned centrally in the chassis, providing an optimal weight distribution of the model.
The distinction between the Dslot43 chassis types:
SS - Super Short (short wheelbase) S - Short (short wheelbase) M - medium (medium wheelbase) L - Large (long wheelbase)
At the front an oversized guide is used and allows the use of the Dslot43 racer on 1:32 scale race tracks.
The thick (2.38 mm) front axle shaft provides enough stiffness in the front chassis and adheres to the toughest race of conditions.
The new Dslot43 is also high tech on the rear axle. Spring type rear suspension can be tuned to adjust the torsion of the model and also absorb bumps on the track. The hardness of the suspension can be varied by using different types of springs. At the rear lower part a height adjustable magnet can be found, with which you can adjust the models adhesion(traction). The higher the magnet is placed, the lower the adhesion to the track guide rail. With a lower adhesion can be achieved faster lap times, because the friction is reduced by the magnetic field.
